Facebook finally decided to go live with OpenID. A widely used authentication system used by many famous services on the web e.g. Yahoo, Microsoft, MySpace, Google and many more online communities and websites. OpenID is like ultimate pass for the web once you signed up with OpenID you can use that information to authenticate yourself on any website supporting OpenID authentication system. It really saves from hassle to sign up on dozens of different places one by one.

Although Facebook is late to join the OpenID race and let me tell you that First from all Yahoo jumped and other famous websites followed and gave OpenID support. Facebook seems like last one to end the race. Facebook’s OpenID support is surely a good idea to let people sign in directly with OpenID. Facebook seems like taking too much care of its members and visitors we can expect even more features in coming future.
