If you are having a laptop for work purpose then I can imagine how much you love it, as I do so you always want it to be running without any hiccups and problems and wish its long life, I am today giving tips what you should keep in mind while having a laptop with you some of them are silly but most important

So we start one by one

Dust Can Kill

Always keep your laptop away from dust for a couple of reasons first you can’t just open its panel like desktop computer and storm inside with an air blower and clean all the dust by just pressing a button, second laptops are sensitive if you let so much dust enter in it then you’ll end up blocking its exhaust duct holes with dust and end results will be high temperatures of cpu core and graphics card.

Flat Surface is Better

Don’t use laptop on your laps and couch or bed for long yeah its true this is not good see how, there are exhaust duct holes at back if not then side of it, couch or laps are somewhat soft and anything can embed in them, this way sometimes blocking air exhaust if this happen so often you’ll end up with a fried laptop in your hands, use it on some flat surface if you planning to work over nights or whole day.

Foot and Butt can kill your Lappy

Never ever left your laptop into bed or on carpet when you are not using it anyone can accidentally break it by foot or butt laptops are not that tough to bear too much weight, one of my friend actually lost a laptop in back 2000’s when it was on bed the lid was closed and blanket was over it and one of his roommate sat over It and killed the lcd.

Install Tracking Software on Your Lappy

Must install some tracking tool in your laptop because in these days too many laptops being stolen world wide by installing some tracking application there are a little bit chances you can track thief I know there are not much chances to track but even if there are 5% percent chance then its enough without spending a penny, head over to this post for further information about free laptop tracking tool and download link.

Tip To Take More Out of Battery

If you are using Windows Vista on your laptop then there is a tip which can help getting you a little more battery, many people reported since Vista is out that some background process is thrashing harddisk most of the time the reason behind this can be some sort of process at the background spinning haddisk like mad other reasons are auto defragmentation running at the background and indexing service for faster search, you should disable all sort of hidden activities like this, this way you can save a little bit more battery if your disk remain in rest, Process Explorer is a great application which can help you knowing what’s background processes are doing head over to this post for download link and more information.

No Beer Near Laptop

There are so many hardwares putted into a little place and then a laptop is born so they really are not shock proof so keep this point in mind and second a glass of water, a cup of coffee or a beer can (or any liquid) near laptop is extremely dangerous if something goes wrong then its possible your laptop is gone or you are going to have an electric shock you know what I mean don’t you?

Adaptor Test and Betterment

Laptop adaptors are meant to be extremely hot because they are miniature version of those large transformers which convert AC current to DC and lighten up your houses but I’ll tell you when you’ll get worried about heat coming out of laptop adaptor, if you can touch the adaptor and keep your bare hand on it for 5-10 seconds and feel it too hot its fine if you can hardly touch it for a while then its bad (talking about a normal human pain threshold if you are over sensitive then ask someone to do this for you) it can cause huge problems for you the plastic around it can melt and fire your place or it can just blow up and frying it self possibly along with your laptop (am not sure about this one) the best way is to take it to your laptop manufacturer and get it checked or replace with a new one. A tip about keeping it cool is to hang it somewhere or place it like lower and upper of it is naked in the air. Below image will explain what i am trying to say.
