Process Explorer: See Whats Killing Your Computer Resources
If you are using vista you must noticed that in vista most of the time you feel your harddisk is spinning like mad, you can guess this also by seeing hard disk led indicator on your pc case or laptop. Thats when some process in background is doing something bad with your system resources. Some processes not only effect hard disk but processor and sometimes eat all your ram resources you can track down those resources consuming threads and processes by this nice little free app ‘Process Explorer‘
Process Explorer is a really vast software which can help telling you maximum possible information about threads and processes running in the background of your operating system, sometimes you found your system infected and sometimes its slow for no reason you can just use this app to track it now see how that works and what are the features.
Process Explorer shows different system performance graphs which help you track on which time which app was consuming most system resources this way you can track if some un ordinary process was doing its evil work or not, other than this great option you can have complete information for an unknown press just by right clicking and pressing ‘Search Online’ option, you can kill process, suspend or restart if its not working well, there is also a target button available when you drag it to any window or app running where ever in your system and available just point that target to that window with your mouse and it will reveal which process is running behind that window.
Performance graph and Ram usage for photoshop.exe process:
The Real magic of this app start when you right click on some process and select properties, you can see almost every thing about this app such as how many ram alone that process is taking, which threads this app opened, how much system resources alone that process is taking, performance graphs and shows which service is that process belongs to (you can just simple disable that service if you dont like that process) and tells you when that process actually was started so you can know when your pc was under risk, it also shows which DLL files behind an .exe process. See below screenshot to see more tabs.
In short This free utility offers a lot lot more than default task manager options just try if you are above average pro pc user this is a must have app for you.
