Taking usb flash drive everytime with you is a good idea but you can use your gmail inbox storage as a backup space which is even better idea. Gmail Drive is a free shell extension which make a flash drive icon in your ‘My Computer’ you just drag or copy paste your files in it and then access those files from you gmail inbox anywhere.
Gmail Drive is a free windows utility which help you uploading files from your computer into you gmail inbox easily, its just easy as putting files in your usb drive just double click gmail drive icon in ‘My Computer’ a popup will open asking your gmail username and password and your already placed files will be visible and further more you can add more files.
Even if you cant find Gmail Drive installed on other system where you want your files to be shared you just head over to your inbox and download files from there, i love this lil uitlity and use it on daily bases my gmail inbox is about 45% full i normally used to store my data backups and high priority stuff there for future proofing
